Again, I wake up early
All of this against my will
The first of many yawning's
Added to the till

This here little bird
I can guarantee
Ain't out looking for worms
This early

If I didn't need to eat
Or try and pay collectors
You definitely wouldn't see me
Till way past half past later

I'm a simple man
That has simple needs
That sure could use a Sugar Mama
To take care of me

It's hard to get a grip
On all work and no play
I don't think I'm really meant
To spend my life this way

Stifling a yawn
I crawl back into bed
The only goings on I really want
Is this pillow neath my head
