I remembered your birthday.
I wanted to write you
If only to remind you
That I exist and love you today.

I remembered your birthday,
but I also remembered that you don't wanna talk to me;
I remembered that day we walked to the sea:
you loved and left like ocean's sway.

You live in my silences;
I grieve, but my silence is.

I remembered your birthday.
You are where I'm not,
and that hurts more than missing you.

Happy birthday.
