Thou art never wrapped in words.
But my words are directed to thou.
I tell you every old and new sorrow.
Every moon of night, the sun of the morrow.

Thou listen to the long and artless tales.
Of mine filled with cutting grief.
Not only with patience do you hear the
Annals those long but those too brief.
With thou, I dark secrets open wide.
Oh! Anam Cara will always be by my side.
