despite the hype
will the future be better?

When we consider
human nature
its weaknesses and lacuna
how we wonder

for most lives
are lived in lack
of fulfilment
in the lack-lustre

2025 and all the years ahead
there would be nothing monumental
more of the grind, the existential vacuum
the monotony, the gloom, the fever
