Silently the droplets fall,as I lie in my bed.
Instead of being fast asleep,
I lie here feeling dead.

But as the rain increases speed,
my cheeks are washed with tears.
The droplets get entwined somehow
to wash away my fears.

Softly, gently, the peaceful sleep,
makes its way to me.
I wake with newfound joy,
peace, love and . . . me
