Don’t Hold On To Me

Well I don’t know about tomorrow
But I can’t say that it was a surprise
You’ve been distant for awhile now
And I could see the sadness in your eyes

My mind is in a whirlwind and here I am
Standing on the edge of a broken heart
I’ve been living inside of my perfect
World and now it’s all falling apart

Once there was a spark that ignited
A flame and it burned so bright
But like a black hole in the midst
Of Space you’ve consumed all the light

Though I’ve tried to save our love
I’ve got nothing left in the vault
So here I am with a gaping wound
As you continue pour in the salt

Now there’s nothing left to do but to
Let go and set you free
And forever I’ll hear the echo of your
Voice crying Don’t Hold On To Me
