A rabbit was hopping around,
In the front of my yard.
I watched it intently.
It seemed so unbothered,
At peace.
I wished for that.

A moment of tranquility,
To take me out of the
Pain I felt.
Then it got run over.
Whose luck ran out,
His or mine?

Maybe I cast my sorrows on him,
Like Jesus and the swine,
And he did what I
Am unable to.

It was a goreish scene,
Yet so quiet, so beautiful.
There is no greater peace
Than death.
I wished for that too.
