There's a thin line in-between
The walking dead and living
Spending time here on earth
Living life for all it's worth

This daily trip of hit or miss
In certainty get on with it
How many miss out on the time
Letting this life pass them by

There's a thin line in-between
How we act and tend to lean
How much of ourselves we give away
In the packaging of love and hate

Pointing fingers righteously
Just don't point them back at me
Pretending somehow that we care
As quotation marks hang in the air

There's a thin line in-between
The solid truth and pretending
That everything will be okay
If we try our hand at love and hate

Loving those that love you back
Where's the sacrifice in that
The struggle to try and get along
That's the true test of hate and love
