Wonder where it all went wrong
Hollywood's been bought and sold
Credits roll with nothing more
Than a snippet of the movie score

Star's no longer need to act
The green screen will take care of that
If the acting isn't up to par
It ends up on the cutting floor

I hate to give the plot away
But script in hand articulates
Silent films had more to say
Than the movies of today

Pretty boys and girls read their lines
Several ways till they get it right
In hope's they hear, that's a wrap
Slap each other on the back

You can take this saying to the bank
The acting's real the lives are fake
Before they know it's adios
In Hollywood that's how it goes

I hate to give the plot away
This simple truth I must convey
Silent films had more to say
Than the movies of today
