Liar, liar,
Pants on fire—
When will you tire?

What happens when the truth is chased away?
Left alone, day by day,
Slicing through the ache,
Of every mistake
Blood trails like tears from their eyes,
Can’t disguise
The weight of these lies.

Behind closed doors,
Where secrets are stored,
The pain runs deeper,
Cutting through more than skin.
Every lie a scar,
Every denial a wound,
Until the truth is lost,
In the silence of the room.
The real you put into a tomb

Liar, liar,
The fire burns on,
Leaving only echoes of the truth,
In a heart that’s gone cold,
A story untold,
Of lies and the scars you leave behind.
