Celestial Games

We’re not even a week on From when I looked up and saw your solar flare. I was desperately trying not to stare. It’s a bad habit of mine I’m learning to lose. I’ve been called out on it before. So, though I hid my gaze from your glimmer, I find comfort in the familiar. And when I see you, I see stars! There’s nothing I’ve known longer. Though I have no way in this mind’s eye To render anew your wonder, I’d tear through planes of space and time To reconstruct your quanta. Give me another splinter of your splendour. You set my heart ablaze in winter. Can I return The favour? Just as the moon summons the sea, I’m endlessly drawn to thee.
