Now that I’ve lost you
It’s clear
What it cost you
What put you through
Days of unhappiness
Plainly
As clear as it’s been
From the start to me
Mainly
But often
As into the coffin’s
Unmade me
My love still persistent
Albeit,
Ungainly
In ways I could phrase it
Mistakes just erase it
And then no forgiveness,
No hoping
Could save it
If yours disappears
Then we cannot endeavor
To once again
Rest
On the shores
Of forever
