Thus rests the former
God king
Mortal man
Had it all figured out
Had the world in his hand
Had a plan
To take over
Destroy
And rebuild
As he willed
Into being
A tiny orb
Filled
With the felling
Of forests
The shelling
Of reigns
And the death knell
Dispelling
All doubt
To his claims
But his influence waned
In the advent
Of tech
And his subjects
Instead
Preferred fools
To elect
And rejected,
Disposed of,
Forgotten
Was he
And the core of him rotten
Could not
Legacy
