smile-summers
are spent in candleford
a little older-

she talks of a fast set
decadent-hatless
they rome the heath
bawling swinburne

and omar khayyam-
refer to themselves as
fin de siecle-disillusioned
and weary..a lost page..

her friend emily rose..
and returning to larks rise
she is again home
charmed by simple lines

knowing but not knowing
too much..
growing pains..
times passing..
