After Caressing the Wick
an exquisitely wrought
bowl.
brass blown to the upper
echelons of leafage,
curved so.
the snake charmed lazy of
wick-- can cake in the tightrope
of sandalwood wax.
begging traceries of that
saintly podge.
as these reconnecting digits
softly grind away at those fragrant
intellectualizations.
after caressing the wick.
