The curious case of Lawrence
was so that it defied comparison
he appeared it seemed out of nowhere
smiling liken to a good Samaritan

First time I met him was at a party
one of those parties of the well to do
ask if I'd like a drink, I said thank you
he returned not with one drink but two

I inquired what's your poison
you know, his profession
he pointed to the ground
and said it's too hot to mention

He told me his name was Lawrence
a talent scout he said his trade
looking for his kind of people
his been looking a time and an age

He gave me his card and said he'll be waiting
I think I knew what he meant
he wanted me to join he's company
and for that he was hell bent.
