I had no idea it was happening.
The world caught fire and I blinked.
My skin smelled like cooked meat.
I was hungry and couldn't help myself.
When I came to strapped down I thought
I had died. I talked to you with sorrow.
We spoke of beaches and sand and sun
and salt that we would visit tomorrow.
