I went for a look-see
and there he was
decorating the tree,

a bit premature
says I,
are you sure
says he

tinsel tangles everywhere
in my ears and on my hair
I swear that fairy laughed at me
sat as it was atop the tree.

what will you put up for Christmas,
says he,
a flag at half-mast and *******
for Lord Sainsbury,
says I.
