On the day I finally stop and drop
Into that old, knotted pine box
And they wheel me down front, put on display

All I ask is you raise a cup
Make something good about me up
As you send me off along my merry way

There is no need for you to fret
Or think of this situation as sad
I did all I could in the realm of give and take

Just find for me a shady spot
To cover up this dusty pine box
And a marker for my final resting place

And after that if you think of me
In the coming days and going weeks
I hope a smile comes across your face

If you think about it and
Every now and then again
Feel free to come and dust the cobwebs from my grave

Then maybe sit for a just spell
Then again if nothing else
Tell me a little something about your day

And as you sit and reminisce
Over that and because of this
It's best you have your say before too late

You never know when we'll go along our merry way...
