Let’s pretend
We trend to like
We tend to
Mostly
Playing nice
The sprawling
Fallen
Paradise
A part of nature
All its own
We decimate
This one true home
Insisting in the cloud
To save us
As we let the lords
Enslave us
Digging graves
Like Vegas babes
Keep track of time
Like meter maids
Still underpaid
And overworked
And haunted
Everywhere we’ve lurked
By what a curse
It is to live
To be this me
With more to give
Yet gifted with
A lesser power
All the universe
Is ours
