I've seen Santa Claus

bargain stores
and the people shopping
stopping to stare
at the threadbare suit
he is wearing,

times are tough
and getting tougher
I'm not surprised that
he looks a bit rough
I'd look rougher too
if I had to do all
that he has to do.
