The Cyclops flop
As the morning rolls in the monsters drift off.
Someone said that they were dead
but we all know
that
they're only sleeping underneath the bed,
and
the sly ones hide in the wardrobe.
It's Friday?
do monsters get the weekend off?
Anyway
I'm not frightened by them now
I know most of them by name
but I like to play their game
and pretend that I am.
