Through the streaming sunlight
in the glade of emerald trees
I am becoming translucent
as I sit here waiting for you

I know you will come to me
for I have foreseen your destiny
as the summer winds awake foliage
I listen for the tiptoe sounds of release

Does summer matter any more
when all around me is darkness
with the seasons year by the years
would I, should I, care any more

You was the life of summer sent
a blessing to behold
you are a goddess to me
if the truth must be divulged

I just want to hold you one more time
and tell you how much you mean to me
you have always been my friend never a foe
so I find it so ****** hard to let you go
