defining sorrow
Exhaustion tugging at the soul
like damp attire hung on a thin clothing line.
Blood red eyes carrying the weight of
crashing tides.
You've dug yourself deeper than the roots
of the most ancient trees,
and dressed yourself in anchors,
dragging you down into the depths of the sea.
