Pity Is Me
He drew his sword that day
and for his mistake some mayhem was insured
for the love of poetry forgive him
this creature of man, this fool of culture
Artist of many sorts
yet only master of one
Yes, he's mastered drinking very well
he will get a free ticket straight to hell
He's a little tyke
who falls off his bike
and for sensibility
has no sense of home
He screams and shouts
let's it all hang out
but that is just one poet
for pity is me, forgive me
