Past The Veil
All those years in the military
how many friends did I loose
how many bodies did I see fall
bits of friends and memories
and when I got back from the front
my friend over here was blown to bits
in my London
by my Irish friends
Past the veil but I will never forget
the valour I have seen on battlefields
I am myself no kind of hero
for I still dwell amongst the living
The guilt I feel burns bright at night
and I feel that ****** pain in my guts
that's when I wake up
and in a daze shout I am alive
