Change

Like a clock on the wall changes time
Like a caterpillar changes to a butterfly
Like night turns to day, everything
Changes, sometimes in the blink of an eye

Everything used to be cut and dry
Boy or girl and right or wrong
But now it’s all so confusing
Like trying to learn to play Mahjong

I’m not here to judge or condemn
That is for the fool
It’s just that I’m of a different time
And all I know is old school

In my mind a woman is a woman
And she dresses appropriately
And a man is a man and when they
Are together the difference is plain to see

So forgive me me if I smirk
And if I find it odd and strange
I’m not trying to be mean and cruel
It’s just difficult to accept the change
