I'm strapping myself in
or rather
they're strapping me down
and it's not a cool look in a
surgical gown,

it's just a procedure, they told me
as the nurse took hold of me
to inject me
with a calming solution,

but there's an uncertainty
when someone cuts into me
and I don't feel a thing.
