My sister
It’s not happenstance
That you are here
It’s been a struggle
But you persevered
And yes at times
You may have been scared
But no one can say that you weren’t prepared

My sister
They attacked you
With blatant disrespect
But they couldn’t diminish
Your dignity or your intellect
See all of their questions
Were suspect
Which everybody watching could detect

My sister
We won’t let them
Steal our joy
Because they’ve mastered
How to be coy
And we can see that it’s
Just a ploy
Used against you in order to annoy

My sister
Please don’t let ‘em
Sell you short
Cos’ you were born to sit
On the Supreme Court
All you have to do is to
Hold the fort
And wait until it’s your turn to report
