FLOWERS AND CANDLES
By: Cedric McClester
A robbery with
Few words said
Now their daughter
Lies there dead
From a bullet wound
To her head
Mortally wounded
Is how she bled
It was Burger King
On 116th and Lex’
After rounding up
The usual suspects
Caught on camera
So you were next
Facing the charges
One expects
Robbery
And ****** 2
All the evidence
Points back to you
Cos the police had
More than one clue
Now your life on the outside
Is all but through
Flowers and candles
Line the front
Of where you pulled
Your tragic stunt
More than police
Joined in the hunt
You deserve what you get
Just to be blunt
