And they never learned
that familiarity breeds contempt
for if thy don't do
they have to face the contempt
they have for themselves
its the escapism that shields them
from themselves
for knowing they cannot reach far
they stop and dilly dally
and write tomes on dry grounds
over their foot prints
they are bystanders faking rhythm
and no rhymes
