Years pile up
like leaves

another winter
of
slumbering trees

The oranges
and
the rusts

oil me please
so that I
not yield
to dust

I sympathize
with the
trees and the wildlife,
left to survive
a Winter's
frost

they are the
strong,
the invincible
and on us,
that should never
be lost

I can only admire
God's strength
within them,
as I stand with
mouth agape

Nothing on this earth
has ever wowed me
more than ....

God's work
to date
