I want to reach inside my body
to rip out my heart.
I want to put it in a locked box,
one I cannot access.
I want to stop feeling,
so maybe I won't always hurt.
I want to be free from myself,
because I am the embodiment of pain.

I am a walking plague,
and maybe if I remove my heart,
no one else will be poisoned.
