There are silent moments of calm
    when something disturbs a surface
enough to wake doubt and fear and
pounds our hearts and steals our air.

    Terrifying! Anxiety. I thought I
had defeated you. I knew better.
    You're always floating about me.
    Catholic guilt without a reason.
