She’s the manifestation
Of love I see
That’s deeper than
A mere memory
Residing somewhere
Inside of me
She’s my essence
And my epitome

She’s all that a young man
Could have hoped for
Someone who molded
His very core
And made him
The man that he became for sure
And of course I could go on
To tell you more

She knew how to build
My self-esteem
And taught me how
To hope and dream
And although she was part
Of a grander scheme
I pray that my platitudes
Aren’t too extreme

She’s the manifestation of
All that was good
And I thank God for her
As I knock on wood
For she was a blessing
Which I understood
And I loved her then
As I always would
