Can you be honest when it is ugly
It’s been said that I am an artist
I paint love with my words

Can you be honest when it’s ugly
It’s been said that I might be an angel
A man who offers life
At peace with the world
Or
A man who’s at peace
with whatever’s within
And sees all as beautiful

Can you be honest when it’s ugly
It’s been said that I am crazy
An architect who makes miracles
Out of madness
Out of dreams
How to create love from loss
Paint the sun out of darkness

Can you be honest when it’s ugly
I’m not surprised
Even the sun lies
The brightest of things
Scurrying to bring shade
To it’s own beautiful light.
Only in truth, love can be created.
