I left a candle that night she went away
and I knew then I'd never see her again
oh how empty is my house now
I hear the echoes of her laughter
how dark it is without her
how the pain breaks my soul

She was my everything
my kitten in silken gloves
she was grace on two legs
and now my love is dead
so as she fell
I fall, for I can't live without her

I feel so numb
oh God so lost
I can't stop my tears
death would be a good bedfellow
for now I am nothing
just one of the living dead
