It feels like I’m breaking down
Thinking through these feelings
My eyes tearing, lips trembling
Disassembling dreams
Sweet melodies receding
Thoughtful poetry
Coming undone
As the suns light
Drifts out of sight
It excessively sends
Ample aches all around
My run-down body
I want to abstain from
Loving you
But when I do, it feels like
I’m suffocating
Greatly attempting
To regain my breath
I don’t make sense
Of why I allow you
To get to me in this way
All I know is that I need you
I am trapped in emptiness
Without you around me
