Holding onto the mirror,
Gazing beyond the snake.

A silently welcoming venom;
Burning the once eternal ice,
Freeing me from your cold gaze.

Wincing, teary-eyed stars,
Whisper their silencing fears.
These sunset guardians, up in tears,
From being beyond the sidelines
For all these years.
Acknowledge the snake, but remember the stars are always watching over you. They may not seem close but that doesn’t mean they don’t care.
