He understood me more
Than anyone else did
He knew what my memories
We were made up of
He didn’t have to study
Me to see I had a deep past
That there was great suffering
I had faced in the shadows
That all the years of being
Inaccessible from the world
Had left a deep scar on my heart

He took me in the arms
Of his heartland
Consoled me as I teared up
Each damaged drop dribbling
Down my colorless face
Saying to me the past was over
There was nothing I could do
To change that but move on
That all the heartbreak I had braved
It had allowed me to be
The person I was now

He rested his head next to mine
Wiped the transparent tears
From my eyes, kissed me on my cheeks
Told me everything would be alright
I laid on his heroically heavy chest
Feeling refreshed, knowing he amazingly
Adored me, that everything he said
Was the exact words I needed to hear
To keep moving forward
That my best level-up
Was so close to manifesting
I just needed to keep believing
And never lose the faith
