Squirrel and the Rabbit
10 August 2021

Met out in my garden,
Middle of the day.
Squirrel and rabbit,
Seemed to know the way.
Quietly pursuing, appetites in need.
None disturbed the other.
No sign of reckless greed.
Wonders seem to wander,
Past my place and stay.
Humans seem to squander,
Every chance for play.
Why not come today?
