The Space Between
I walk these streets of pain,
through their darkness, in the rain.
And vow to ne'er again,
let them define me.
As my soles touch the ground,
and I carry what I've found,
and cry without a sound,
"put the behind me".
Listen to the space between,
what is and what has been,
and what I've never seen,
the peace that is me.
I will make mine eyes to gaze,
through the past's lying haze,
into this moments blaze,
the fire within me.
