Jun 2021
old letters that I never sent you
letters aged from reading them so much
outside a heavy rain and the sky full of lightning
a served drink and a half-finished cigarette.
the night goes on and the room fills with shadows
one by one I'm throwing the letters into the fire
and while the fire rages
I'm done with the past
tomorrow will be a new day
