My love,
My words have gone
I've lost the fire within
My mystic ease has run thin
This letter is my caged song
I have nothing left to give
And I'm tired of fighting to the ends
I never bought future dividends
So I write,
These lines you shall never read
To say the darkest things,
Deadly ease
Floating away in the breeze
Let my bones be
Spill my blood where the ground doesn't freeze
Set my eyes on the endless horizon,
High enough to see where the sky meets the sea
Bury my heart where my people be,
And if that is too much for now
I'll wait until Grace sees fit
Though my soul is ready to flee
This pain is deeper than it should be
And I've lost sight of the child in me
