We all like to think ourselves
Somewhat enlightened
That answers abound
And that nothing
Is frightening
Delight in at least
Moderation
Elation
But how long before
The excessive temptation
Becomes decadence
Abrogation of morals
And tireless virtue
Can’t rest on its laurels
In good conscience
Faith
An abnormal distortion
Forsaken
Replaced
By debased disproportion
