Receding
There is no satisfying a beach,
Sea suitor said to the sands.
I've courted the strand eternally,
waved endlessly, but no response.
I have borne gifts from afar and
presented them on my tide line.
In Spring I made special efforts
to go further and further, but no,
it was always the same old story,
repetitious rejections, pushed away.
On the other side of my aquatic
expanse I got the same treatment.
But Tsunamis are friendless, so I never
express my anger like other Oceans.
Some say I'm nautical and thus why
they are Thalassophobiakβs, perhaps?
Coasting like a kerb crawler is how
Iβm perceived, seamy it seems !!
