It’s in fearing I would lose you
So ironically
I did
Although presuming that I “had” you
Was a claim
We’d both forbid
And so refraining
From what makes you
Say you’re happy
And me not
The never certainty
Perversity
Poked holes into the plot
And the conclusion
Was the usual
Disaster tragedy
But you remain
The most endearing,
Most enduring
Casualty
