The tree stands alone
It’s only ever known
This place as it’s home
So it starts to wonder
Are there any others
Am I free to go
Then it wears a frown
Realizing it’s got its roots
Planted firmly in the ground
So it stands alone
The wind that blows
The only friend it knows
