For whom?

For whom does the butterfly land?
For the gentle soul
For that gentle nature
The gift that’s been bestowed
For the innocent
For the future that’s in tow
For that sweet supportive nectar
Wrapped up in a bow
For all the words of love
For all the sappy pine
For all the past transgressions
Whether yours or mine
And that is it’s decision
That’s where it resides
But nothing lasts forever
In the life of butterflies
