Mystery envelops me
as I fall into another sleep
as I wake to find another dawn
and hear outside the Robin's song.

All that was and all that will be
the air is sweet with eternity
and the never ending cycle of life
the truth cuts through me like a knife.

I hear the sounds of words unspoken
write the verses no pen has written
feel the ancient breezes blow
through this modern world of woe.

Although I live and breathe right now
I sense the timelessness of life
the rituals that come and go
the changes that melt like winter's snow.

How many hearts have beaten on this earth?
How many loves have burned within?
Mystery envelops me
as I bathe in all that was
and all that will be.
